Traditional Representation Through Final Mediation

With our Co-Author services, an attorney represents you regarding all aspects of your family law matter, addressing all disputed issues, handling negotiations, drafting documents and preparing you for what to expect within the traditional court process. Representation includes temporary matters and extends through mediation of final matters, but does not include trial preparation or representation at trial.

Co-Author services are a good option if you feel you need the guidance and advocacy of a divorce lawyer throughout the more traditional legal process but would like to settle your family law dispute without having to go to trial. If your spouse initiated the divorce through the court process, and you both want to make all reasonable efforts to reach a settlement but have the court available to resolve disputes as needed, this may be the right option for you.

Our Co-Author services include:

• Evaluation of your case
• Preparation of initial divorce pleadings and other legal documents
• Running child support calculations
• Preparing motions for temporary relief and representing you in court during the legal process
• Helping you explore your options for settlement
• Assisting you to negotiate a legal settlement
• Drafting and reviewing a settlement agreement
• Preparing you for divorce mediation or the Early Neutral Evaluation (ENE) process
• Appearing with you for a divorce mediation or ENE session

Because the amount of time and service you will need depends on your individual situation, Co-Author services are billed at an hourly rate against a retainer or with your credit card pre-authorization.
