We are a 100 percent customized client services firm, which means you can hire us for one thing, or for everything. At The Law Shop Minnesota, you have options for meeting your family law needs.
Rather than charging thousands of dollars up front for full legal representation throughout an entire matter, The Law Shop Minnesota provides customized client services, also known as unbundled legal services or limited scope representation, in family law matters. This means you can pick and choose the exact help you need. You can pay for individual services at a reasonable flat-fee rate, or pay for hourly service. We offer many à la carte legal services, such as specific legal tasks you can find under the Writing Coach and Guest Author services, traditional representation under the Co-Author services, Collaborative representation under the Writing Team services, as well as mediation services. You have choices at The Law Shop Minnesota; we can explore your options together at a Shop Evaluation.
We offer unbundled legal services, also known as “limited scope representation” (LSR) or “customized client services,” which allow you to hire an attorney to handle some, but not all, aspects of your legal matter.
If you’re not sure what legal service(s) you need, schedule a Shop Evaluation for 45 minutes of one-on-one time with an attorney from The Law Shop Minnesota. The attorney will listen to your story, inform you about the legal processes available, and help you determine the best option(s) for your case. You can leave with a plan of how to move forward.
The Law Shop Minnesota also offers Spousal Education Sessions where you and your spouse can learn about your divorce process options together so you can make a mutually informed decision about HOW to move forward. No advice is provided and no representation is established in the session. This is a 45-minute information session voluntarily attended by both you and your spouse to learn about your options. Attending a Spousal Education Session does not obligate you to work with The Law Shop Minnesota.
The Shop Evaluation and Spousal Education Session are each offered for a one time fee of $250.
Family law issues, be it divorce, separation, prenuptial or postnuptial agreements, or arrangements between unmarried parents, often bring unexpected and emotionally challenging transitions. The Law Shop Minnesota provides customized advice and strong advocacy tailored to your unique situation.
